Responsibilities
- Run weekly discussion sessions with undergraduates in groups of 10-15 based on course readings, using a variety of active learning techniques.
- Grade and provide in-depth feedback on weekly discussion posts, essays, and take-home exams.
- Meet with students individually to develop writing and research skills.
- Administrative duties including managing enrolment, schedule allocation, and the course Canvas page.
- Revised syllabus from previous years to improve diversity and increase relevance of reading materials.
- Prepared and delivered lecture on identity politics.
Course Content
- Brief introduction to a selection of foundational topics in the field of Comparative Politics, including regime types and democratization, political economy and development, political behavior, institutions, and a case study of the politics of COVID-19.
